Who are we looking for?

At ORDE, we are looking for a QA Lead to join our team. As a QA Lead you will play a key role in driving quality throughout the full development lifecycle of ORDE’s technology platform. This requires a combination of a strong expertise in quality assurance as well as leadership skills to build a team and establish and embed practices.

Your key responsibilities will include: 

• Ensure quality across the whole delivery lifecycle – Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define quality standards, identify potential risks, and develop strategies for mitigating them.
• Define and implement Quality Assurance frameworks and processes – Develop and establish quality standards, methodologies, processes, and metrics. Create and maintain a comprehensive quality assurance framework to ensure consistent and quality delivery across initiatives.
• Define and measure QA metrics – Define a set of QA metrics to track across the different teams, measure the outcome and implement improvements where needed.
• Continuously improve the QA process – Continuously evaluate and enhance the QA process, incorporating feedback and lessons learned into ongoing improvements.
• Define and set up a test automation and test data creation framework – Identify opportunities for test automation and establish an efficient and scalable test automation framework. Develop strategies for test data creation and management.
• Select and roll out test tools – Evaluate and select appropriate test tools and technologies that align with delivery requirements and objectives. Lead the implementation and adoption of selected test tools within the test team.
• Work with the teams to ensure quality is part of the development processes – Collaborate closely with the cross-functional teams to integrate quality practices into the delivery processes. Provide guidance on testable designs, code reviews, and unit testing.
• Work with business users to execute UAT – Engage with business users to understand their requirements and set their expectations for User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Stakeholder communication to provide updates on quality – Define a framework to enable the teams to communicate test progress, test results, and quality metrics to stakeholders.
• Stays ahead of the curve in keeping abreast of new QA trends – Proactively stays up-to-date on the latest QA trends and technologies, and implements them across the testers before a need arises.
• Coaching team members on QA practices – Provide guidance and mentorship to QA team members, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively. Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Build and manage a QA team and capability – Recruit, onboard, and develop a skilled and motivated QA team, including QA automation. Define team roles and responsibilities, set performance goals, and provide regular feedback and performance evaluations.
• As the need arises, actively test in each sprint, including developing test scripts, library, and test executions, and build and execute test automation scripts.

• You’re not afraid to get hands-on and execute tests and/or write test automation script if necessary.
