Your role at Orbit.
This Accounting Technician role is suited to someone who can demonstrate excellent organisation skills, time management skills and has a good understanding of double entry book-keeping. It is essential that you have good literacy and numeracy skills and have proven experience of Microsoft Excel.
Having the ability to work well in a team and problem solve is important. We are looking for a proactive individual who can prioritise tasks, manage workloads and meet deadlines.

Orbit has a fantastic opening for an Accounting Technician to join their Financial Accounting and Control Team in Coventry. The roles would cover key areas within the business – Property Sales, Cashbook and Fixed Assets. These roles are great opportunity for someone who wants to enhance and develop a career in Housing and Finance.
The Financial Accounting and Control Team is an important part of the business. The team use standardised guidelines to record and summarise financial transactions and present them in financial reports or statements such as income statement or a balance sheet. By doing this, we allow the business to better understand the way it spends and generates money and help it to make intelligent and informed financial decisions.
As an Accounting Technician, you will be responsible for recording correct accounting entries in the ledgers, reconciling key balance sheet accounts, coding of the invoices, liaising with internal and external stakeholders and any other support during month end and year end.
Maintaining relationships with customers is also an important part of the role, ensuring you provide on-going support and assistance and meeting their requirements.
