Job/Responsibilities

In this casual role, you will be responsible for providing hands on support and assistance in the delivery of educational programs and activities to children and adults at the Orange Regional Museum and Orange Regional Gallery. You will be required to assist with these workshops and activities in the following way:

• Providing professional and friendly support and advice to participants and their teachers and/or carers
• Help with the preparation and pack up of events and education activities
• Assist with the supervision and safety of participants
• Participate in the evaluation at the end of each workshop/activity
• Provide any other support to the Public Engagement and Education Officers in the delivery of these activities
• Assist with other related duties as required e.g after-hours functions including the serving of food and alcohol or helping to meet our COVIDSafe requirements through the sign in desk or cleaning

To be successful in these positions you will need:

• Demonstrated interest in the provision of children’s workshops and educational activities
• Ability to develop respectful relationships with children and positively manage groups of children of all ages
• Current Working with Children Check

Desirable:

• Current Responsible Services of Alcohol (RSA) Competency Card
