JOB DESCRIPTION

Oral Roberts University invites applications for part-time adjunct faculty positions to teach online courses in the ORU Advantage Program for high school students.

DUTIES

Teach curriculum from ORU’s Advantage online offerings

Assist students in achieving course objectives and learning outcomes

Provide consistent and quality feedback to students

Engage students in the learning process

Maintain an accurate and current grade book

Communicate with students regularly through news announcements, posts and follow-up.

Provide support and encouragement to students who are under-performing in their coursework

REQUIREMENTS

Education & Experience Requirements

Hold a Master’s degree in the teaching field

Experience in teaching high school students

Ability to teach online

Experience in online teaching is beneficial

Working knowledge of Desire to Learn (D2L) or other online learning platforms is desirable

Minimum Criteria

Eighteen graduate hours of academic credit in the teaching area

Experience teaching in P-12 schools
