In this pivotal and strategic role, you’ll be working in sprints to help us proactively source amazing people to work at Optus. You’ll be responsible for capturing passive talent before they’ve even started their job search, leveraging our established employer brand.
Focusing on proactively finding talent for Retail, volume and contact centre customer facing positions, you’ll be responsible for researching and mapping the talent market to identify and engage with top talent. You’ll create a pipeline of pre-qualified candidates to resource critical roles, whilst demonstrating why Optus is the best place for the best people.

About the team:
The Talent Acquisition Team brings Optus’ vision to life by recruiting our amazing people. Reporting into the Talent Acquisition Manager, you’ll be an integral part of our initiative to build our teams’ sourcing capabilities. We’re an energetic, collaborative team focused on innovation and delivering game changing recruitment solutions.
About you:
You’ll be an expert in proactively sourcing talent, with at least 3 years’ experience in Talent Acquisition or Talent Sourcing. Ideally, you’ll hold a tertiary qualification in Human Resource Management, Psychology, Business or related field.
You’ll be creative and resourceful in your approach to finding talent and ideally have previously sourced candidates for frontline, retail, volume and contact centre teams. You’ll be confident in using talent sourcing tools and techniques such as LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean searching etc.
With your finger on the pulse of industry or market changes and trends, you’ll be a strategic thinker with experience managing multiple talent pools and pipelines.
As an exceptional relationship builder, you’ll also have the ability to collaborate with stakeholders of varying seniority and the ability to influence outcomes. You’ll thrive in a dynamic, fast paced environment where resilience and self-motivation is key.
