As a Strategy Analyst, you will work as a core team member on strategic initiatives for Optus Enterprise and Business and support the yearly strategy and planning cycle. You will analyse market trends, competitive positioning and customer needs to solve significant business problems and to develop financial/economic models to support recommendations. This will involve working closely with the other functional areas of the Group to obtain information, build consensus and validate analysis and findings.

Daily activites …

• Strategic analysis of key business issues;
• Development of financial models and cases for planning and performance tracking, major strategic initiatives or capital investments;
• Production of clear compelling fact driven recommendations for Executive Leaders and key decision makers;
• End-to-end management of problem-solving processes and recommending formulation; &
• Participation in strategy discussions to improve our company culture.

Your Skills To Pay The Bills

• Tertiary quaifications in a Finance / Commercial discipline, with post-grad studies (eg. CFA) advantageous;
• Solid understanding of Telco B2B products a gained in an in-house Telco or high profile Management Consulting / Strategy form;
• Advanced quantitative and qualitative analysis SME with outstanding interpersonal skills;
• Able to comprehensively research and understand different sources of information and data;
• Advanced company analysis and presentation skills, unperpinned by top-flight IT literacy;
