Optus Hiring for Senior Project Manager at Macquarie Park, New South Wales, Australia Full Time

Optus Group IT are seeking a Project Manager with h ands-on experience in managing cloud migration and automation projects.You will be responsible for leading a cross functional team within IT Domains (Architects, System Analysts, Developers, Testers, Build & Release Engineers etc.) to deliver Projects on time and on budget. This role also involves working with regional & offshore teams and managing Projects/Programs worth > $3M at any point in time. You will manage 2 or more Projects/Programs in parallel.

You will be required to work within a Core Team environment, generally consisting of Business Program Managers, Networks engineering Managers and other senior operational personal. As such the Senior Project Manager must exhibit a broad range of qualities in order to gain/maintain credibility and successfully lead our Projects/Programs.

The role is tasked with financial management and the associated ing KPIs within the Project team. Strong financial management skills are required to ensure financial budgets are managed effectively.

Excellent communications skills are mandatory for this role. The successful candidate must also be able to demonstrate stand-out leadership skills and will have previously managed small to medium cross-functional teams to deliver projects and programs

About You

• Previous leadership experience
• Experience presenting to C Suite and Exco
• Previous experience running technical programs > 10 million dollars.
• H ands-on experience in managing cloud migration and automation projects.
• Formal traditional Project Management certification from PMI, AIPM or equivalent reputable professional body.
• Previous Program/Project management for medium to large application development projects ($1Mil to up to $20Mil and/or up to 10+ team members)
• Experience in software development and delivery of large complex software projects, in particular with mobile, billing, integration and digital application
• Experience working with Senior Stakeholders (VP, Director of large organisation level).
• Substantial Capex ($10M+) management experience
• Conceptual knowledge of SOA architecture
• Experience working with external Vendors
• Conceptual knowledge of TMForum SID framework
