Reporting to the VP, People and Culture, you will lead a team of 25 people and be responsible for the strategy, planning and execution of the Optus talent sourcing and recruitment function which includes early career talent, internal mobility, contingent workers and senior executives. This role is also responsible for our recruitment brand and targeted attraction positioning and campaigns across digital and social media channels, key vendor relationships, key platforms and technology partners.

You will work closely with the Optus Executive Committee and their Senior P&C Business Partners to build strong relationships and deep understanding of each business, their drivers, the competitive landscape and business strategy to ensure that all current and future resource planning needs can be met.

We are looking for an innovative and creative thinker with excellent stakeholder relationship skills to drive the design and development of best-in-class and state-of-the-art solutions within a rapidly evolving talent marketplace, as well as attract and develop strong search, sourcing, and recruitment capability.

Key accountabilities include:

• Create the right structure to ensure our ambition for the function can be met, and enhance and build Optus’ employment brand through all channels and relationships
• Attract and develop strong capability-centric and business aligned sourcing and recruitment professionals, as well as develop and embed seamless and first-class processes, reporting and operations
• Develop reporting, insights, analytics to ensure we are delivering proactive and future-focussed and commercially relevant information to our business leaders, and ensure our technology and automation roadmap is sustainable and forward leaning
• Refresh our assessment processes to ensure appropriate diagnostic tools and reporting that align with our leadership and capability frameworks
• Develop and execute strategies that support and deliver to our Early Career Talent and Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging priorities
• Build strong relationships with senior leaders across the business and within P&C

• Prior experience working in an organisation with a global footprint will be highly regarded
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
• Innovation is key, so having your finger on the pulse relating to the latest recruitment, search and sourcing technologies and platforms will be fundamental to success
• Superior leadership experience and ability to motivate high performing teams is essential
• An optimistic attitude and energy to drive brilliant outcomes
