The primary purpose of the Senior Director Segment Strategy and Go-To-Market (GTM) role is to develop the Mid-Market Sales strategy and lead GTM projects from inception to execution for strategic and growth priorities for Medium Segment focusing on key accounts.
Your day in the life at Optus
You will be accountable for the development of the strategy, do the blank sheet project planning and resourcing of the most sophisticated, interrelated, and strategic projects for Mid-Market segment. Our Senior Director will also ensure the successful execution of strategic initiatives (both on cost and revenue side) by working closely with Inside Sales Acquisition, Inside Sales and the Commercial teams, who are responsible for supervising and providing visibility tracking of program costs and benefits. This position deals with highly ambiguous, uncertain, and unchartered territory in optimally helping Mid-Market segment realise its strategic vision. You will be tasked with collaborating and challenging the leadership team on the formation and execution of the business strategy, with strong leadership, influence, and negotiation skills to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes for all.
The successful implementation of go to market pivotal initiatives and realisation of benefits are essential critical metrics that need to be achieved, alongside strong employee experience. You will lead, engage, mentor, and encourage an open, diverse and inclusive culture always.
This role is a boundary-spanning, it is envisaged that the position will derive outcomes through collaboration with a range of key functions across functions and divisions including Product, Marketing, Sales, Service and Digital. Therefore, we expect outstanding stakeholder management skills, the ability to prepare SLT ready documents, engage with SLT members and their team, but also with our frontline people to drive on-the-ground action.
