The Procurement Manager – IT will drive the sourcing and procurement of IT solutions for Optus and sometimes Singtel Group ensuring compliance with Corporate Procurement processes.

Please note this role will be for a 12-month fixed term contract.

You day to day will consist of…

• Delivering the best commercial outcome from new engagements with IT suppliers;
• Delivery of the IT Procurement strategic plan and challenging Optus spending on IT Professional Services;
• Negotiating with suppliers to align contracts with Optus’ standard terms & conditions, ensuring IT agreements’ commercial terms are clearly understood;
• Managing the approval process for any deviations from standard terms and conditions;
• Managing all IT Professional Services (or similar) contracts through the Expiring Contracts ;
• Evaluation of supplier capabilities and establishment of new sources as dictated by business intelligence, market trends and business requirements; &
• Drive the delivery of the cost reduction to achieve the savings targets.

What makes you perfect for the role?

• Demonstrable understanding of IT Processional Services contracting, software licensing & hardware procurement;
• Significant IT procurement experience ideally gained from a leading Telco or IT environment;
• Consistent track record of commercial competence, cost management analysis and negotiation expertise;
• Detailed understanding of costing and vendor commercial practices and accountabilities; &
• Ability to lead clients/vendors relationship and expectations.
