Optus Hiring for Director, Customer Marketing & Product Strategy at Macquarie Park, New South Wales, Australia Full Time

In this fast-paced and business critical function, you’ll play a critical leadership role responsible for product-related strategies, market positioning and pricing for the Optus Wholesale (OW) Fixed Product portfolio. This will feature supporting the Sales team on large bespoke deals/tenders (negotiations/contracts), setting product commercials and product strategy through insights and market analysis.

With the rapid evolution in the market and its significant impact on OW existing fixed business, this role represents the critical need to manage existing revenue streams and develop new revenue streams to both maintain and enhance our position in the wholesale market. The impact of this role will be to manage and grow existing product revenues and develop new related products.

Your Skills To Pay The Bills

• Tertiary qualified in a relevant Marketing / Business discipline with post grad qualifications e.g., MBA advantageous;
• Deep SME in marketing / strategic product management with proven ability to analyse the market competitors and to develop strategic direction for Fixed product portfolios;
• A minimum 10 years of professional experience in strategy, marketing or sales of large Telecommunication/ICT services;
• Experienced in negotiating complex commercial deals and outcomes with the following: Hyperscalers, CPaaS Providers, Global Carriers, Domestic Carriers, Systems Integrators, Broadcasters, ISP’s and Service Providers;
• Strong understanding of the technology employed to deliver service for Fixed products;
• The ability to qualify marketing plans, budgets and capacity forecasts;
• Strong working knowledge of business strategy and finance;
• Skilled at translating high-level strategy into detailed implementation plans;
• Able to manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously, and you are an accomplished manager of cross-functional teams; &
• Highly numerate, articulate and innovative with a thorough working knowledge of Fixed products and applications and can apply these in the Australian market.
