The Commercial Director, Optus Wholesale and Satellite (OWS) will work directly with relevant Exco members and is responsible for the Commercial leadership of the OWS business along with providing Commercial support to strategic initiatives led by the OWS MD / COO Enterprise & Business. This role requires a highly experienced and strategic commercial leader who excels at driving performance and playing a major role in the development and execution of the strategy for the business. In addition, given the remit experience in strategy and corporate M&A is a requirement.

The role has 3 key elements being Strategy & Planning, Commercial & Performance Management, and Strategic Projects.

In addition, the role will be a member of the Commercial SLT, driving collaboration, cultural change and talent management across the broader commercial organisation and Group Finance.

Your key ingredients for success …

• Tertiary qualified in a Finance field with CA/CPA designation;
• Significant senior management experience in finance/accounting as gained in a large complex corporation – Telco highly advantageous;
• Proven ability to contribute to effective business solutions;
• Strong commercial background coupled with excellent analytical/strategic thinking capability;
• Highly proficient in developing long term strategic plans for businesses using innovative business planning methodologies;
• Ability to lead commercial negotiations in an environment of constant change with large and complex deals;
• Ability to evaluate and manage/provide guidance on Treasury, Risk Management, Insurance, Property, & Audit;
• Advanced executive presence and leadership abilities and able to lead and develop an impactful team.
