Optus Hiring for Business Development Manager | Enterprise at Melbourne, Victoria, Australia Full Time

In this fast-paced sales function, as a Business Development Manager (BDM) you will be mandated to win new Enterprise business relationships for Optus within the Victorian market. This role operates in a High Risk/ High Reward function and is a customer facing executive owner for large technology pursuits. In this role you assist and coach demand generation of new Customer opportunities. The BDM will be responsible to sell into a territory of Enterprise businesses with telecommunications and ICT spend from $100,000 up to $2 Million plus per annum.

Your day in the life of a BDM at Optus

• Driving and leading new customer acquisitions, to achieve or exceed on individual target for sales against allocated territory, by being current in your understanding of products, services, and the trends within the telecommunications industry.
• Building a pipeline of new acquisition opportunities, through working in a consultative capacity with Optus Business Enterprise sales specialists and pre-sales specialists. To individually to source, qualify and close new leads.
• Facilitating sales briefings and proposing appropriate solutions for business improvement and problem solving to potential clients via strategic planning and execution.
• Engaging with Optus Enterprise Marketing and Commercial teams to collaborate and understand the Enterprise market requirements. Covering insights from competitive information, future development needs and product acceptance. Helping to evolve Optus Enterprise’ strategic approach in the segment.

You have a foundation of developing high level customer relationships and delivering sophisticated product and service solutions. You have the skills and experience to deal with Senior Executives in some of the largest companies in Australia. You are highly capable of engaging multiple stakeholders and deliver ground-breaking projects improving customer experience and overall experiences across your team.
