Position overview:
Optimas is looking for a friendly and organised Human Resources Apprentice, to join our busy team in our UK Head Office. The role will offer an insight into the entire employee lifecycle from recruitment to onboarding, training and development, performance management and payroll & reward.
You will have the opportunity to study towards a Human Resources qualification where you will achieve a professional qualification of a CIPD Level 3 HR Support Diploma.

Key responsibilities:
The role of a Human Resources Apprentice is to deliver a high-quality service to employees across the UK business, working closely with HR colleagues in Europe. Key tasks and activities include:
  • Managing administrative processing and transactional work relating to the ‘employee life cycle’ from recruitment to post-employment. This will include offer letters; pre-employment checks; contracts of employment; variations and changes to terms and conditions managing probation and fixed term contracts; leavers;
  • Maintaining accurate employee records and files; data input onto the HRIS system; production and checking of data for payroll;
  • Responding to Inbox queries; providing facts and information (re general enquiries regarding recruitment, pay, terms and conditions of employment, references, annual leave);
  • Placing adverts, using social media and job boards to attract and source new employees; attend Job Fairs and Apprenticeship events to help build employer brand;
  • Working with peers in HR to ensure standardisation of approach;
  • Working to add value to internal processes and procedures;
  • Participate in team activities (daily and weekly team meetings, training and forum meetings);
  • Work within the relevant policies and frameworks.
