About the opportunity:
We are looking for a Quality Engineer to contribute to the quality delivery of technology platform and applications. Working as part of an agile team, you will collaborate with your product manager and fellow engineering team members to deliver product outcomes for our customers. You will be responsible for applying QA practices to improve the customer experience and deliver high-quality software and coach other team members to do the same. In addition, we are in the process of furthering our adoption of a microservices style architecture and are looking for an experienced QA to contribute to this transition.
What you’ll be doing:
Participate in design and specification reviews and use this information to design test plans and test conditions
Apply agreed standards and automation tools
Automate testing tasks and build test coverage through existing or new infrastructure
Design test cases and test scripts under own direction, mapping back to pre-determined criteria, recording and reporting outcomes
Analyse and report on test activities, results, issues, and risks
Define the software modules needed for an integration build and produce a build definition for each generation of the software
Accept completed software modules, ensuring that they meet defined criteria
What you’ll need:
Experience in test automation tools (Cypress preferred )
Good understanding of Quality Engineering and Assurance and SDLC concepts, processes, and procedures.
Experience using and automation of API testing
DevOps practices including automation in CI/CD pipelines
Good understanding of Quality Engineering and Assurance and SDLC concepts, processes, and procedures
Experience testing UI/UX for responsiveness across different devices and browsers
Writing SQL Queries to validate Tests at database level
The bit about you:
At least three years commercial experience in a QEQA role
A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience
Experience working within agile product teams
