About the role

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Accountant looking to take their career to the next level or for a recently qualified CA looking to make a move from practice to the exciting world of fintech.

To achieve the objectives of this role, you are required to:

• Prepare the group half year and full year financial statements in compliance with relevant reporting requirements and accounting standards
• Accurately and timely prepare the monthly profit & loss and balance sheet including managing the group consolidation and intercompany reconciliation
• Maintain the overall integrity of the general ledger and other financial information
• Prepare key technical accounting position papers
• Ensure timely completion of the group’s full year audit and half year audit review process
• Maintain and monitor regulatory reporting requirements, operational core capital and liquidity requirements, risk controls and company policies and procedures by providing strong financial governance
• Responsible for the preparation group’s tax returns, supported by the Finance team and external advisors
• Assist with ad hoc Finance team and executive projects or tasks

Essential you have

• CA or CPA qualification
• Strong accounting standards knowledge and previous experience in statutory reporting and/or auditing
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Previous experience working with financial systems
• Ability to work with a high degree of ownership and responsibility
• High level of attention to detail
• Exceptional communication skills – both written and verbal
• Deadline-orientated and an ability to stick to time constraints
