A typical day will consist of the following:

• You’ll play an integral role in ensuring our customers have an exceptional experience at claims time. You’ll be by our customers’ side from lodgement of claim all the way through to resolution.
• You will play a key role in Identifying insured events and clearly explain relevant exclusions upfront to our customers.
• You will be empowered to accurately underwrite claims and make determinations on cover while seeking additional information in order to validate events and ownership where appropriate.
• Actively monitor and control claim costs throughout the claim, including progress payments, variations and specialist fees.
• You’ll be an educator and walk our customers through the why and how while settling claims in a timely manner through continuous follow up and member updates to ensure exceptional member outcomes.
• You’ll be working with our Claims Manager to continually reassess and improve our processes.
• This role is Monday to Friday on a rotating roster. No weekend work is required.

• Ability to build rapport quickly with an engaging and respectful telephone manner.
• Excellent active listening skills with an ability to effectively question, influence and educate.
• Ability to prioritise workload and make timely decisions to manage your files accordingly. Highly developed planning, organisation and time management skills with the ability to work on your own initiative.
• A desire to continued learning and improvement.
• A team orientated approach with a focus on driving personal and shared outcomes.
• Have self-drive and be able to make decisions quickly and efficiently (with support from the wider team where necessary.)
• Flexibility and receptivity to change – you thrive in agile, fast paced environments.
• Strong administration skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
