Ooni Hiring for Finance Assistant Job at Edinburgh, Scotland Full Time

Eat pizza, assist with some finance. Eat some more pizza. Pat belly contentedly.

The job:

• Be our Finance Assistant! Kick off or continue your career in finance / accounting / Excel-ing / being paid to be generally awesome with the Ooni Finance team.
• You’ll be doing the entry level finance assistanty things that are on every finance assistant job spec. Mainly bank recs, credit control and processing payables. This is a role you can grow into as your brainy brain sponges up all those wonderful finance knowledge juices. Which is admittedly an odd and unsettling image. Sorry.
• The role is a bit of a mixed bag. Some days you’ll just have to get your head down and batter into some bank recs with zen-like focus and determination. Other days you’ll be picking up some project work with Cristina, or helping Karen with supplier invoicing. You’ve got to be flexible and roll with the punches (not literally – the flexing or the punching).
• Just because you don’t have 20 years’ experience in finance doesn’t mean you can’t have good ideas. In fact, it probably means you have great ideas. We want your keen-bean-shiny-fresh eyes to help hone our processes to make them super slick and efficient and effective. We’ll always hear you out if you think something could be done better.

• We make AMAZING pizza ovens that cook AMAZING pizza in 60 seconds. Beyonce’s got one. Whatevs.
• We’re growing really really fast and have no plans to slow down. Get ready for some more growing.
• We’ve built a lovely office in Broxburn. There’s a train station nearby or a car park if you prefer. We have 2 staff kitchens and a ping pong table. We’re mainly working from home and Zooming right now, but we’re SLOWLY heading back in there despite swimming in hand sanitiser.
• We’re now up to 280 in the whole team. That was under 100 this time last year and only 50 the year before that. It’s fun meeting so many new people but we’re going to need name badges soon. I think I read somewhere that lanyards are this season’s bumbag.

• You’re at/near the start of your career in the thrilling world of finance. You might have already had a small taste for a year or two. If so, great. If not, no worries – we’ll show you the ropes.
• You have a hawk-like eye for detail and porcupine-like passion for process.
• You’re dedicated, focused and willing to learn. And ready to fall in love with bank recs.
• You don’t mind working from home for the next wee while. *Sigh* it’s a real shame because our office is great fun and it’s where most of the pizza is. We’re SLOWLY heading back in and will do so more often as soon as we’re allowed, but until then you should be able to take super detailed notes and manage your workload and time to crack on with stuff on your own, check in regularly and raise your virtual hand when you’re stuck.
