Onyx Counselling and Psychotherapy Hiring for Registered Provisional Psychologist or Registered Psychologist Full Time

Onyx Counselling and Psychotherapy in Sherwood Park is looking for a Registered Provisional Psychologist or Registered Psychologist to join our supportive and collaborative team as an independent contractor.

We are looking for a psychologist who is interested in and can provide ethical, competent, and compassionate services in the following areas:

· Couples Counselling

· Teen/Youth Counselling

· Therapy for adults/individuals

The ideal candidate will have experience and training in one or more of the following areas:

· Anxiety

· Depression

· Trauma

· Sexual, intimacy, gender and identity

· Communication

· Relationships

· Grief and loss

· Post-partum/Perinatal mental health

· Infertility

· Stress and burnout

· ADHD

· Parenting

· Self-esteem/self-worth

· Chronic pain or illness

· Recovery/sobriety

This position would be part-time to start, with the option of building a full-time case load. We would require a minimum of 2 days or 8 hours per week to start. Daytime shifts are available; however, some evenings or weekend shifts may be required depending to client demand and availability. You will be in our Sherwood Park office location, and providing services in-person and virtually.

The Position:

• Registered Psychologist or Registered Provisional Psychologist or Registered Clinical Social Worker
• Independent Contractor position
• Part-time (min. 8 hours per week) with the potential to grow into full time
• Willing to work afternoons, evenings, or weekends
• Compensation between $100-130/hour

Requirements:

• Master’s degree or higher in counselling psychology or related field
• Registration in good standing with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP) and applicable governing body in Alberta
• Current professional liability insurance – Minimum of $3 Million
• Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check
• Experience and professional training in the areas of interest would be considered an asset
