One Hope United Hiring for Toddler/Twos Teacher – $2,000 Sign on Bonus Full Time

Our Aurora Center is a 22,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art, environmentally sustainable building that features spacious classrooms lined with windows and filled with natural light. As part of our Healthy Lifestyles curriculum, we cook on-site, allowing us to serve healthier food and cater to children’s taste preferences. We have a center garden, where children plant, care for, and harvest vegetables and flowers, and share them with their families. With your help, children also help plan and assist with parent/child activity nights throughout the summer.

Job Summary

The Teacher will create a stimulating learning environment by:

• Providing an educational setting that encourages excitement for learning and preparing for kindergarten
• Developing learning centers that focus on school readiness
• Partnering with co-teachers on best practices and creating a warm and welcoming environment
• Encouraging preschoolers to engage, discover, and problem-solve
• Supporting continuous collaboration with parents and families.
• Uses positive approaches to help children to solve problems
• Follows all safety and health rules for the center, including all state, federal, NAEYC, and One Hope United’s health and safety guidelines
• Communicates regularly with families; understands and maintains a primary caregiving relationship with individual children and families
• Responsible for consistent completion of GOLD observations and checkpoints for children. These assessments will be objective, meaningful, and completed in a timely manner.
• Arranges classroom in well-defined learning centers that are clearly labeled, clutter-free, reflect children’s interests, and encourage independent use
• Supervises children by sight and sound at all times

Education, Experience, and Required Skills

• Associate’s in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
• Bachelor in Early Childhood Education preferred
• A minimum of one year in an early childhood setting preferred
