Who We Are

The Education Technology Specialist [Louisiana] reports to the Director of Growth. *We strongly recommend sending a brief cover letter*

The Specialist is an outgoing, knowledgeable resource that helps school districts be successful with the OnCourse Student Information System (SIS). The Specialist’s goals are to educate and grow our Louisiana SIS community. The perfect candidate would be a natural relationship-builder, focused on both customer success and business development.

This Specialist will receive extensive training in the OnCourse SIS and integrated systems for tracking grades, schedules, student behavior, transcripts, student performance data, and lots more.

They will engage with our Louisiana SIS clients in a variety of ways, like training, showing off new technology, and coordinating the resources to solve issues. Much of this job can happen remotely, but we love spending time with our partners and require regular district visits. The Specialist is responsible for:

· Networking: Build relationships with key contacts in Louisiana school districts (clients and prospects)

· School Success/PD: Help schools get the most value out of their OnCourse suite with training and consulting

· Events: Work with the OnCourse marketing department to coordinate Louisiana conferences, presentations, and remote/live user groups

· Support sales and marketing efforts with webinars, demonstrations, and discovery tasks

· Stay current on Louisiana K-12 initiatives (LDOE initiatives, Edlink reporting, innovative assessment, etc.)

· Refer districts to other OnCourse resources, like support, project management, or development

· Use autonomy to communicate with their community in a way that works for their skill set (examples: blogs, videos, newsletters, etc.)

Essential skills

· Experience in K-12 education, ed-tech, or a closely related field

· Experience with OnCourse or other SIS products is a strong plus

· Must love to train and educate; be a quick learner with technology

· Self-starter who has a desire to learn, grow, and adapt with an entrepreneurial mindset

· Ability to travel, work nights/weekends when required

COVID-19 considerations:
Since March 2020, OnCourse has been fully remote to protect its staff and clients during the pandemic. This role is fully remote, but will be expected to visit school districts and conferences in the future.
