Job* Summary*
The Talent Acquisition Manager primarily focuses on finding great Managers for our restaurants. This position partners strategically with Operations Leaders to recruit talented individuals who will represent On The Border with pride. In addition to recruiting responsibilities, this position will also be involved with administering a variety of people-related processes and systems relating to hiring, onboarding and orientation.
Key Performance Elements/ Essential Functions
Source, Screen, Interview, and Assess Talent

• Source and recruit candidates using a variety of outlets, such as job postings and social media, while effectively targeting the best candidates for the job
• Develop relationships with prospective talent
• Seek out and recommend creative new ways of sourcing talent
• Schedule candidates’ interviews and then prepare and advise their candidates beforehand
• Review resumes, cover letters, and assess interview performance
• Complete pre-screening and screening activities for prospective employees, which may include calling previous employers and completing background screens.

Partner with Hiring Managers and Human Resources Partners

• Work very closely with hiring managers to ensure that searches are targeted to adequately reflect the needs of the manager and the requirements and expectations of the job
• Identify strong candidates who fit the Brand’s Culture and the requirements of the position
• Develop and sustain strong relationships with key stakeholders, customers and peers
• Update key customers on search status through ongoing communication and reports as needed

Assist with New Hires and Onboarding Processes

• Facilitate a smooth on-boarding process for new employees by facilitating administration and submission of all hiring paperwork for new management employees
• Set up and conduct the New Hire orientation for newly hired Restaurant Support Center (RSC) and some field-based employees

Manage Day-to-Day Operations for OTB People Team

• Administer a variety of processes and systems relating to hiring, onboarding and orientation and other programs, as necessary.
• Interact with, and support, as time allows other People Team functional areas, such as, Field Employee Relations, Benefits and Training

Qualifications
Qualifications:

• Strong organizational, problem solving, and analytical skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce internal documents, presentations, collateral materials and field communications

• Some Restaurant/Retail-specific experience, a plus

• Ability to multi-task many responsibilities and focus on highest-priority items
• Ability to travel 25%, with the ability to be away from home for 2 days (or more) to support ad hoc initiatives
• Willingness to be flexible and support the team during peak work periods (i.e., willing to pitch-in and roll up sleeves to help the broader team meet deadlines)

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5 or more years Sourcing/ Recruiting experience, restaurant industry experience preferred
• Bilingual a plus
• Demonstrating proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS); TalentReef experience is a plus
