The Role:
As the Hydraulic Field Service Engineer, you will be going to customer sites and doing service, repair, maintenance, overhaul, and commissioning of Industrial Hydraulic Systems including Hydraulic Drives, Cylinders, Pumps & Pumping Systems, Manifolds, Valves, HPU’s, Motors etc….
You will be working across a range of industries including things like Marine, O&G, Offshore, Petrochem, Construction, Civils, Automotive, Aerospace, Renewables etc…
You will also be involved in Offshore work for around 5-10% of your time and will need to be happy to go offshore for some periods throughout the year.
Also supporting the sales teams by spotting any additional opportunities whilst in with clients to upsell SLA’s or to look at other kit that might be looking worn so the sales team can try to bring in more work.
If not out on customer sites doing service work, you will be expected in their St Neots facility to either work in the workshop doing repair work or possibly on the assembly line.
£37k basic salary, overtime available, generous additional allowances for offshore work, van, 3% guaranteed holiday bonus, up to 8% company profit related bonus, life assurance 7 x salary, Income Protection, 26 days’ holiday + bank holidays, Pension matched up to 8%, Laptop, Mobile.
The Person:
As the Hydraulic Field Service Engineer you MUST have an offshore ticket or be happy to get one and you MUST be happy to do offshore work and happy with nights away.
Ideally someone from Field Service within Industrial Hydraulics though they may consider a really strong Hydraulics Field Service person.
HNC + in Mechanical Engineering or a related field – Great if you have an apprenticeship too.
MUST be able to read Hydraulic drawings and read and understand Hydraulic circuits as well as being able to fault find.
Hard working, self-motivated, driven, able to get things done, happy to ask for help when needed, able to hit the ground running, good listener.
