Our shop lead/supervisor position offers the opportunity to take the lead in our shop and in the field, supervising our technicians while also getting your hands dirty. Your hands-on technical skills will be put to good use on a variety of custom projects in the industrial combustion and automation spaces. As the lead, your duties will include scheduling tasks and following up to ensure they are executed in the most correct, professional, and expedient manner possible. We specialize in industrial applications, and common projects include control panels, piping manifolds, conveyor systems for material handling, robotic workcells, and more.

Olsträd Engineering Corporation has been in business since 2007; Combustion 911 launched in 2009. Industrial combustion is a niche industry with a high level of customization; building a knowledge base provides the tools to solve problems but doesn’t diminish the challenge. Team members who have been with us for over a decade continue to encounter fresh puzzles. Our automation business is pure customization. Qualifications/Requirements

• Experience: either electrical or mechanical required
• Experience: supervisory/project/shop assistant lead or lead required
• Ability to read and understand schematics required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Detail-oriented, highly organized, self directed and self motivated
• Machining/fabrication experience a plus but not required
• Multicraft experience a plus but not required

Work hours are 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday. We are offering a full-time salaried position in the $70K range, with performance-based bonuses. This position is based in our Kent, OH facility. Some overnight travel to job sites to carry out installation or field service work required. Re-location is not provided.
