Small but thriving and indeed, growing independent firm of Chartered Accountants now has a new and tremendously exciting opportunity for a Client Manager with a mixed portfolio of experience.

This role might suit an established manager with experience of running their own portfolio or a high calibre and ambitious senior/supervisor keen to take that all important next step up.

As a manager, you will have your own client allocation of sole traders, limited companies and LLPs, which will be moulded around your experience and interests. There is an opportunity to work in audit too, but this is not a prerequisite. In addition to managing your portfolio, you will have the opportunity to oversee a small team while ing directly to the partners.

As an example of responsibilities, your position will include:

Responsible for your own portfolio of clients, ing to the Partners.

Undertaking compliance tasks for your clients, including preparation of accounts, corporation tax returns and personal tax returns.

Reviewing the work of more junior staff members and assisting them with their development.

Undertaking bookkeeping, VAT returns and management accounts for clients using cloud software.

Acting as the first point of call for clients on day-to-day queries and supporting the Partners with more complex tax or planning tasks.

Requirements

You will be ACA/ACCA qualified, or equivalent with a career background and strength within accounts and tax, and all-around general accountancy practice service delivery to wide-ranging sole trade, partnership and limited company clients, developed within an accountancy practice environment.

You will have at least 5 years of experience within practice.

Experience in IRIS, Xero, Sage or QuickBooks would be advantageous.
