Oliver Winery, the 28th ranked winery in the US, is seeking a dynamic and driven Senior Manager to join our in-house marketing team. As second-in-command of the marketing function, this role is responsible for leading and contributing to efforts that drive market share and influence product velocity, foster customer retention, and advance brand building. In addition to brand building, the Oliver in-house marketing team serves internal clients in wholesale sales, and hospitality. This position’s primary focus is on the wholesale side of our business.
The role requires a candidate with proven experience and a blend of strategy, technical, creative, analytic and project management expertise. Experience in CPG marketing or the beverage industry is a meaningful plus. In addition, this role requires a strong leader that listens and leverages analytical skills and insight to influence others. The senior manager will work collaboratively with marketing and sales leadership to develop impactful shopper marketing plans.
The senior manager is responsible for the development of marketing plans, building project briefs and selling stories, aligning with team and vendors for creative and media execution, and owning and delivering results ing. Consumer and shopper marketing efforts include internal/external branding, point-of-purchase materials, in-store advertising, sponsorships, events, and digital marketing. This high-impact role will work collaboratively across functions and interact with clients, vendors, and senior leaders to support the company’s business objectives. A successful candidate will have the ability to manage to and assist with development of an advertising and promotions budget that is based on achievement of targets such as case volume, PODs and velocity. This role will have line of sight to our P&L and will have opportunities to advance as a leader at the winery as we execute our strategic plan.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT: This position will have to spend long hours sitting. There may be visual or ergonomic strain due to computer use. It also requires extended periods of concentration and focus. The employee may also have to occasionally do some light lifting of supplies and materials. This job is in a winery/production setting that at times requires walking or standing for some period of time. Travel is required very infrequently, for market surveys or account presentations.
Typical Schedule: Position is full-time, salaried. Due to the creative and collaborative nature of our work, this position is housed full-time on-site at Oliver Winery’s Bloomington, Ind., headquarters. Remote work is possible, up to one day per week, with supervisor coordination. Weekend or evening work is occasionally required, with advance notice.
