Our talent acquisition team is growing and we are now seeking an experienced Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team!

Founded in 1918, Okland Construction operates as a regional general contracting and construction management company with now nearly 1,000 employees and growing. It supervises the architectural, engineering, bidding, contracting, building, inspection from the beginning to the end of the project and specializes in concrete self-preform on large commercial scale.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Talent Acquisition Specialist will be an integral member of our talent acquisition team and support a wide variety of roles including, but not limited to corporate positions as well as construction management roles. This position will conduct full cycle recruiting, assist scheduling interviews, assessments, tracking recruiting metrics, executing on career fair strategies, sourcing talent and other duties as assigned.

This position will report directly to the Senior Manager of Talent Acquisition and recruiting efforts will primarily focus on Phoenix, AZ, Salt Lake City, UT and Boise, ID.

JOB DUTIES

• Interact with senior and mid-level management on a consistent basis to ensure overall hiring need priorities are correctly assessed and processes are understood.
• Post open positions on company jobsite, job boards, and college career sites.
• Review job descriptions for accuracy to fill critical positions as needed.
• Conduct high volume of candidate screening calls and interviews for open positions as assigned.
• Daily screen resumes for appropriate skills, credentials, experience and knowledge and conduct in-person and phone screen interviews to determine technical and cultural fit.
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies for both passive and non-passive talent to build a pipeline of candidates.
• Maintain and tracks recruitment metrics through the applicant tracking system and Excel.
• Build networks to source qualified candidates, including regional college relations activities such as coordination of campus visits, interview teams and follow-up interviews to identify emerging talent for our robust intern program.
• Occasional travel to hiring events and career fairs as needed.
• Serve as a representative of the company in a professional and respectful manner for internal and external contacts.
• Ensure compliance with all legal/governmental/regulatory requirements is met.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLSET REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Organizational Development, Business, Psychology, or related field or equivalent experience of 4+ years’ experience as a Recruiter/Talent Acquisition/HR Professional.
• 2+ years working in technical or engineering recruiting, construction recruiting a plus.
• Demonstrated track record of name generation, sourcing, cold calling, and successful hiring of mid-level and executive-level candidates in a highly competitive industry.
• Experience with college relations recruiting programs preferred, but not required.
• Ability to work within company structure and across a variety of departments and locations.
• Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment independently.
• Well-developed writing, verbal communication, analytical and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to initiate and effectively implement new processes.
• Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office, Applicant tracking systems, and recruiting platforms such as LinkedIn Recruiter.
