Ohio Truck Sales is looking to add an additional experienced Staff Accountant to its accounting team! Candidate will be (1) of a team of (4) Staff Accountants reporting to the Controller. Ohio Truck Sales provides owner operators across America the means to earn a living with a safe, affordable truck they love to drive!

Job Summary

The Staff Accountant responsibilities include account reconciliations, assisting with budget and close processes, conducting internal audits, and maintaining accounts payable documentation. Will work closely with the Controller and Staff Accountant as needed, as well as respond to information requests by management for auditing purposes.

Responsibilities:

• Maintaining records, and general ledger accounts.
• Creating and making journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations and monthly close processes.
• Contributing to the development and review of internal operating procedures and creating new opportunities.
• Maintaining documentation for accounts payable, purchasing, and treasury and conducting internal audits.
• Performing monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Updating cost analysis for each unit sold.
• Updating monthly scorecards to all departments.
• Meeting processing and reporting deadlines.
• Responding to information requests and assisting with audits.
• Ensuring compliance with GAAP.
• Assisting the Controller as needed.

Requirements:

• Associates degree in Accounting or Finance required ; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• 2+ years of Accounting experience; some cost accounting preferred
• QuickBooks experience required
• Excellent Excel Skills are a necessity

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Working knowledge of GAAP
• Strong numeracy and analytical skills
• Good problem-solving and time management skills
• Highly organized and detail-oriented

Pay: $55,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year
