Ohio Truck Sales, Inc. is one of the nations largest and fastest growing preowned commercial truck dealerships in North America! Located in Sandusky, Ohio, with over 150 employees on staff, Ohio Truck Sales has grown from a small startup in 2010 to the nations premier preowned long hood Kenworth and Peterbilt destination.

We are looking for an Accounting Manager to supervise, track and evaluate day to day activities. Accounting Manager’s responsibilities include establishing financial status by developing and implementing systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying and reporting information. We are also looking for someone to work closely with our financial management team.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES SUMMARY

• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including: month-end and year-end process, accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll treasury, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, and fixed assets.
• Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements.
• Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles.
• Coordinate and complete annual audits
• Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions
• Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy
• Meet financial accounting objectives
• Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions.
• Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure
• Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close.
• Ensure the timely reporting of all monthly financial information
• Assist the Senior Controller in the daily banking requirements
• Collaborates with the other finance department managers to support overall department goals and objectives
• Monitors and analyzes department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy
• Responds to inquiries from the Senior Controller and other finance and firm wide managers regarding financial results, special reporting requests
• Work with the senior controller to ensure a clean and timely year-end audit
• Assist in development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department
• Provide training to new and existing staff as needed
• Handle personnel issues relating to staff conflicts, absenteeism, performance issues, etc.

EDUCATION

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA and/or MBA preferred

EXPERIENCE

• 7-10 years of finance/accounting experience
• Manufacturing experience preferred
• 3 -5 years supervisory experience
• Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills
• Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel, Power Point, and QuickBooks
• Prior experience with accounting standards and practices, including internal controls

COMPENSATION

• $85,000 to $90,000 Annually
