About Us :
The Petroleum Underground Storage Tank Release Compensation Board manages the Financial Assurance Fund (Fund), a risk pool financing mechanism used to reimburse underground storage tank (UST) owners for the corrective action costs of releases from petroleum USTs.
What You’ll Do :
responds to basic inquiries and requests for general information. Greets visitors and directs them to appropriate personnel for further assistance.
Types various correspondence and routine form letters as needed, proofs and corrects work; prepares and mails routine letters, forms, applications, and requests for information;
mails warrants and supporting payment information to vendors; prepares and mails correspondence via Certificate of Mailing.
Searches and prints s from the Board’s database and accesses and searches Bureau of UST Regulations’ (BUSTR) online database for underground storage tank (UST) owner and facility information and prints s.
Completes checklists, attaches Board and BUSTR s and organizes eligibility application files for review by Executive Assistant.
Under oversight of Senior Accounts Coordinator (SAC), performs routine account audits and reconciliations and prepares checklists and supporting documentation for refunds, write-offs of uncollectible fees and account closures for review and approval by SAC.
Reviews hard copy files and prepares for electronic conversion and onsite and offsite storage. Assists compliance section with routine tasks as needed (e.
g., gathering data from lists, copying, organizing materials into alphabetical or numerical order, and filing).
Uses database to post fee, seminar and miscellaneous payments; scans checks for electronic storage and staff access. Responsible for updating database owner, facility and operator contact information.
Reviews removal / install / upgrade permits and prepares and mails related routine form correspondence requesting additional information, matches responses to initial request and forwards to Compliance Specialist for processing.
Responsible for maintaining / placing maintenance calls of office machines; acts as agency building maintenance coordinator and maintains records.
Orders supplies, materials and equipment; contacts vendors for best prices or information regarding products and / or services;
prepares purchase orders for Executive Director approval and maintains supply and material inventory and records.
