Every day in Australia, around 30% of trucks travel empty and a further 50% are idle amounting to mass inefficiency and harmful environmental impacts. 

Since 2020, we’ve successfully removed over 5 million empty kms from Australian roads. Our customer base has expanded to over 250 businesses, and we proudly support small business carriers by connecting them with household brands like Asahi, Metcash, and Noumi.

As part of our sustainability commitment, we partnered with Trace to measure, reduce and offset our scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions, actively working to minimise our own environmental impact.

About the Role

As the Head of Sales you will play a critical role in driving the sales teams at Ofload in Australia. You will be responsible for developing and evolving Ofload’s cross-market sales strategy to achieve revenue targets and contribute to the overall success of Ofload. This senior leadership role requires a results-driven individual with a proven track record in sales management, a deep understanding of the logistics sector and the ability to innovate alongside, lead and inspire a high-performing sales team.

What You’ll Do

• Evolve Ofload’s sales strategy in alignment with business goals and objectives, and drive the implementation of that strategy longer-term
• Lead a fast-growing sales team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
• Set and manage performance expectations across the sales teams, and embed a culture of individual and team coaching and development – this will include getting hands-on with mentoring our high-achieving team.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and strategic partners, in support of relationship owners across the Sales team.
• Build and share – with your Sales team and the broader Leadership Team – market intelligence relating to industry trends, trade conditions, and competitor activities.
• Collaborate with the wider business, including product, marketing, operations, and finance, to ensure alignment and synergy in achieving overall business objectives.
• Contribute to the Ofload Leadership Team, bringing strategic insights across the sales domain, as well as opportunities to grow and evolve the business.

What You’ll Bring

• Proven experience in a senior sales leadership role, preferably as a Head of Sales or similar, with a track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
• Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
• Demonstrated track record of successfully driving business growth – particularly during a high-growth phase – and achieving sales targets.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Strong understanding of the Australian logistics – and specifically road freight – market, industry trends, and customer needs.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to analyse data to identify opportunities.
• Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
