As the Accounts Receivable Clerk, you will support accounting operations by completing invoices and assisting other accounting staff as needed. This role ensures that invoices are accurate and that proper accounting procedures are followed to account for the receipt of payment for goods and services completed by the company.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Gain a working knowledge of Offen Petroleums invoicing model and processes
• Review and analyze incoming payment documents for completeness
• Prepare work to be processed by gathering, sorting, and organizing data and documents
• Prepare invoices for review daily in accordance with established processes
• File invoices daily using established processes
• Provide backup support to other staff in the accounting department
• Other duties as assigned, based on business needs.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent, college level accounting classes preferred
• Proven 2 – 4 years hands-on accounting experience, preferably in accounts receivable
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and accuracy
• Possess good analytical skills. Ability to calculate figures and amounts.
• Intermediate computer skills and 10-key by touch calculator skills
• Ability to follow, interpret, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to function well in a high-paced, high-volume environment, prioritize, and work efficiently
• Proficient in the English language and able to communicate effectively in oral and written form
• To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Office.
• NetSuite experience a major plus, but not required.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibility.

Working Environment and Physical Demands

Work is performed in a standard office environment. Requires the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.
