Odiyan Buddhist Center Hiring for Horse Manager at California Full Time

On the Odiyan property lives a herd of 25 Kiger mustangs, roaming in extensive pastures, and seven mini-horses. Our community is looking for two resident volunteers who are familiar with horse care.  Includes feeding, healthcare, maintaining fencing, and helping to build a new barn. There will also be work in other areas of the community.  

Includes room and board, stipend, learning new skills and contributing your own, opportunities to participate in meditation, mantra and fundamental Buddhist practices.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Overall experience with horses, and the physical work of caring for horses on open land.
• Strong, willing to do manual work for hours each day, including repeated lifting, bending, kneeling. 
• Minimum commitment of six months.
