Bookeeper

The Role:

We’re looking for a pear-fectly odd bookkeeper to join our finance team. You will be responsible for day-to-day financial management, including bookkeeping, Accounts payable and processing payments. You will also manage the month-end process, reviewing and reconciling all balance sheet and P&L accounts.

Primary responsibilities:

As our bookkeeper, you’ll play a central role in connecting the finance team to the wider business. Your core role will include:

• Accounts payable
• Day-to-day financial accounting
• Assisting in month-end processes
• Managing standard and ad-hoc payment runs
• Supporting teams in reviewing monthly spend
• Updating forecasts with monthly actual figures

What we’re looking for:

You’ll be a confident communicator who is AAT or part ACCA/ACA qualified. You’ll already have some experience within an accounts/finance team.

• Good knowledge of using spreadsheets to analyse and control data
• A working understanding of preparing budgets and forecasts, including balance sheets
• Excellent organisational skills
• Knowledge of month-end processes, journal posting, reconciliations etc
• Experience of running accounts payable and dealing with suppliers to resolve discrepancies.

• Location – our office in Vauxhall offers a great space to collaborate with the wider team. You’ll work (on average) two days each week in Vauxhall, with the option to choose your working location for the remainder of the week
