Job Description
We’re looking for a Reward, Data & Systems Executive to work within the People team reporting to the Head of People Operations and closely working with our Reward Analyst and People Data & Systems Analyst.
The People team is one of our Centres of Expertise that supports Octopus Investments. There are 25 people in the team, made up of HR Business Partners, Recruitment, Learning & Development and People Operations.
As a member of the People Operations team, you’ll be responsible for providing reward advice, support and data to the people team and beyond. Our systems and data are at the heart of everything that we do within the People team. If you love solving problems with creative ideas, refining complex information to mass audiences, whilst seeking out trends to improve life at Octopus then this is the role for you.
In this role you’ll facilitate the cost-effective administration of employee compensation and benefits. You’ll also help to manage the administration of our employee compensation & benefits including share schemes and help with the monthly processing of the payroll.
Systems
Be one of the super-users for all People systems, helping to respond to any system queries.
Work with wider People Team to identify system and functionality improvements.
Assist with user acceptance testing following the introduction of new system functionality and system upgrades.
Help to identify and troubleshoot system problems through regular monitoring.
Assist in developing guidance documentation and provide training where required.
Data
Implement, optimise, and maintain data processes, systems and dashboards.
Respond to HR data requests on an ad hoc basis by gathering, analysing, and reporting relevant data from various sources.
Audit HR data and troubleshoot irregularities. Support data governance processes.
Benefits Administration
Help manage and administer the group private medical insurance (PMI) and risk schemes (life assurance, critical illness, permanent health insurance) and support the implementation of employee benefit initiatives.
Providing support to the Reward Analyst with the monthly Share administration, including SIP withdrawals and communication to employees.
Payroll
Support with the monthly management and processing of two payrolls (UK and Australia) which are outsourced to a payroll bureau.
Assisting with the yearly production of P11Ds, ensuring P60s are completed, and any other year-end processes as required.
Qualifications
Advanced in MS Excel, with good knowledge of all other Microsoft Office applications
Ability to analyse existing and newly collected data
Experience with data visualizations using either R/Tableau/PowerBI/Looker
Excellent organisational skills coupled with the ability to multi-task
Comfortable working at pace, often in a rapidly changing environment
An analytical and curious mindset
Meticulous attention to detail & process driven
Demonstrates a real passion to drive the delivery of People initiatives with a customer centric approach
