Octopus Labs is the tech division of Octopus group. This role sits within the engineering team which comprises of 60 onshore and offshore engineers, testers, architects, development managers and technical leads.

Role Purpose

What You’ll Do:

• Daily maintenance of production applications & software
• Performance monitoring, tuning and optimisation
• Collaborating with relevant application system owners to improve support & communication
• Provide 2nd & 3rd Line Support

Who You Are:

• You have a good level of software & application maintenance experience
• Technical documentation creation experience
• To you, Python is NOT a reptile
• PowerShell, C#, .NET and SQL are treasured members of your family
• MS Dynamics excites you
• You’re proud of your last TSQL, PL/SQL data report
• You create documentation because you enjoy it!
• You’re passionate about Application Support delivery
• You have a strong background in scripting languages
• Understanding how technology is used and experienced is just as important as the technology itself
• HOW is just as important as WHAT you do
• You are a confident communicator, enjoy working in a friendly, collaborative, fast-paced team and are comfortable talking to people at all levels of the business
• You love to solve problems – things happen and you’re there to fix them
• You enjoy reading & debugging code
• Being one of the go-to people for specialist technical knowledge
• Having passion about customer experience and a commitment to exceeding expectations
