OCL Group Hiring for Labourer at Edmonton, AB Full Time

Rate of Pay: $18.00 – $27.50 per hour

Job Summary

Responsibilities

Perform tasks to support the welding and fitting crews

Organize plate & pipe as required

Assist with bolt-up & hydrotesting

Communicate with delivery personnel

Assist with material handling, loading & unload trucks using skidsteer

Keep shop, lunchroom & yard clean, tidy and organized including sweeping, emptying garbages

Cleans, checks for defects and shapes component parts, sometimes using a cutting torch

Welding parts, and may also build up worn parts by welding layers of high-strength hard-metal alloys onto them

Understand weld types, welding materials, tools, and equipment

Operate small power tools for the preparation or clean up of materials

Operate hand tools, band saw, overhead crane

Pick up and drop off materials, orders, consumables, inventory etc.

Provide general clean up and ongoing monitoring and maintenance of the work area

Requirements

Skidsteer operating experience

Must be able to complete pre-access & incident drug and alcohol testing

Previous welding experience in a fabrication shop an asset

Must possess valid government issued photo identification

Training & experience with skid steer & overhead crane an asset

Work Conditions

Applicants that reside near Nisku, Beaumont, Leduc, or Edmonton and area. Only local candidates will be considered due to the location of this project and no travel allowances are provided.

Work will be primarily inside Fabrication facility, however some field work may also be required

This position will be project based

Work will be primarily in the shop and outdoors in various weather conditions

Ability to lift up to 50lbs, work at heights, be agile and able to go on/off equipment
