Ocean State Job Lot Hiring for Director of Talent Acquisition Job at North Kingstown, RI Full Time

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Talent Acquisition Director is responsible for designing and implementing recruitment strategies for Ocean State Job Lot (OSJL). This role leads the Talent Acquisition team and monitors all recruitment procedures, from sourcing to hiring, managing a team of recruiters and identifying high-potential candidates. The Talent Acquisition Director partners closely with Human Resources leadership and leaders around the Company to help OSJL grow our teams with qualified associates to achieve business goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design and execute recruiting strategies to attract, evaluate and hire qualified candidates

• Proactively identify and address hiring needs

• Build talent pipelines for current and future job openings

• Lead all sourcing strategies

• Manage all external partnerships with colleges, job boards and HR software vendors

• Implement online and offline employer branding activities

• Oversee all stages of candidate experience (including application, interviews and communication)

• Forecast hiring needs based on business growth plans

• Manage, train and evaluate the team of recruiters

• Participate in and host recruitment events to drive awareness of our company

• Develop a network of potential future hires (e.g. past applicants and referred candidates)

• Measure key recruitment metrics, like source of hire and time-to-hire

• Promote diversity in the workplace and ensure recruiting strategies attract diverse candidates

• Participate in Company strategic planning regarding associate development and engagement

• Research and recommend new sourcing tools and recruiting software (e.g. applicant tracking system – ATS)

• Manage associate performance, write performance reviews and provide coaching and feedback. As needed, delegate work and follow up with team members to confirm timely completion of tasks

• Assist with hiring new team members, training new team members and acting as a mentor to coach and develop new teammates
