Full Job Description

Ocean Electric Corp. is an electrical contractor located on the East End of Long Island looking for a Construction Billing Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will work closely with assigned Project Managers in generating monthly billings in addition to several other related tasks.

Essential Skills & Abilities:

Prior Construction Billing Experience is required.

Monthly AIA billing, via standard G702 and G703 documents.

Monthly AIA billing, via customer portals (Jonas)

Review contract specifications to determine all pertinent billing and compliance information

Prepare billing forms, lien waivers, and 2nd tier releases as required.

Track and invoice T& M and Allowance billings on construction contracts.

Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner, both verbally and in writing, with all clients and their representatives, co-workers, management, and principals.

Ability to work with sensitive materials and information.

Ability to organize and multi-task efficiently.

Ability to prioritize and meet multiple deadlines.

Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite (including Word, Excel)

Customer service driven with a “can do” attitude.

Ability to problem solve and meet daily challenges.

Ability to work under pressure and meet company expectations.

Positive Attitude and Work Ethnics.

Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED required; two-year degree from an accredited college. (Preferred)

3+ years of experience in multi Project Billing related role. (Highly Recommended)

Experience with AIA construction contract billing. (Required)
