OCC Computer Personnel Looking for Geotechnical Engineer at SW1V, Victoria, Greater London Full Time

OCC Group is working for a significant number of London’s leading multi-disciplined and geotechnical design consultancies who are on the search for Geotechnical Engineers to join them.

One such consultancy is a global engineering and development consultancy that operates in over 100 countries, with more than 10,000 employees.

Their key sectors of work cover transport, energy, water, health, education, and industry.

They are currently looking for an engineer to join their geotechnical team in London.

Your responsibilities will involve:

– Scoping and supervising site investigation works.

– Developing foundation, sub-structure and earthworks solutions from feasibility and concept through to detailed design and construction.

– Collaborating and interfacing with clients, acting as a representative of the consultancy on site.

– Use of Eurocodes including geotechnical design reports.

The nature of their work means projects are based in several locations throughout the UK and overseas so therefore there will be some requirements to travel nationally and internationally – when restrictions allow.

As a geotechnical or ground engineering professional, you will currently be working towards chartership and be looking to expand and maximise your career opportunities. You will be comfortable providing geotechnical solutions and support across multiple and concurrent projects.

Demonstrable skills and achievements should include:

– Degree (or equivalent) in Engineering Geology/Geotechnics or Civil Engineering with a geotechnical specialism.

– Knowledge of geotechnical software packages.

– Ability to analyse and provide technical reports.

– Good IT and communication skills.
