Our Emerging Talent function was set up in May 2019 and has since grown from strength to strength. The team focuses on the recruitment, retention, training and pastoral care of our Emerging Talent programmes – Graduates, Apprentices, Placements & Internships.

We have an exciting opportunity for an Emerging Talent Team Lead to join the team. Reporting into the Global Head of Talent Acquisition, you will be responsible for the end to end candidate management of all applicants attracted through advertising and from Ocado’s career site. The role involves a high degree of administration, applicant screening as well as excellent stakeholder management. The Emerging Talent Team Lead is accountable and responsible for a team’s performance as well as their own. They are expected to lead the team based on performance data and metrics. You will be directly responsible for one team member. The Team Lead will be capable of coaching mentoring and developing skills within their team to enable each team member to perform to the best of their ability.

The management and delivery of early talent hires onto our portfolio of Schemes against defined SLAs and KPIs (Pipeline of candidates by target group, Speed of Candidate response, Interview attendance, Offer acceptance target group, candidate source and Diversity & Inclusion KPI, etc) The management and delivery of our on campus recruitment campaign against set KPI’s.

So what’s the role?

The end to end recruitment life cycle of vacancies including, but not limited to:

• Hiring Manager engagement
• Advertising of vacancies internally and externally
• Management of the delivery of our campus attraction campaigns and activities
• Screening and qualifying of internal and external candidates
• Organisation and facilitation of interviews and assessment events
• Managing candidates through the recruitment process including rejection and offer
• The verbal offer of internal candidates
• Providing reporting and data analysis of Programmes to ensure we are filling our talent pipeline with a Diverse application pool
• Provide up to date reports and data analysis of the effectiveness of our live attraction campaigns and provide recommendations and insights to support the delivery of our DE&I objectives.

About you?

• Proven track record in Early careers recruitment within the talent pools demanded by Ocado
• Passionate about the Early careers space and will have connections with careers services and an understanding of target Universities for target courses
• A total pro at hiring Technical Graduates, Interns, Placement Students & Apprenticeships and will have experience in recruiting Technology hires
• An expert in handling a number of campaigns at the same time, ensuring that the initial candidate experience is excellent and you’ll be used to working with many candidates at the same time
• Understanding of workforce planning and future skills capture
• Ability to design and manage attraction campaigns and content
• Strong Data approach to TA leadership and awareness of performance standards (KPIs/ SLAs)
