About the role: *

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our team. You will be responsible for developing new features whilst making best use of cloud technology as well as supporting the backend/API components.

Contribute to a cross-functional agile environment that is underpinned by Test-Driven Development (TDD) processes. Collaborate with Testers, Tech Writers, Developers, Development Managers and Product Owners to drive continuous improvement in products and processes.
What your day will look like:

• Design, implementation and testing of new product features and cloud platform enhancements
• Work as part of an Agile Software development team and follow good software development Practice (TDD, Unit Testing)
• Be involved in innovation and continuous improvement
• Assist in the implementation of new and extend existing system/integration tests, and contribute to test strategy per story
• Support existing products including documentation and bug fixes

What skills you will need:

• Minimum 2 years of commercial Java development on a cloud SaaS offer
• Experience with SCRUM methodologies
• Technical skills should include: Java Build Tools (Maven), Infrastructure-as-code (Terraform)
• RESTful web services
• Database (AzureSQL, PostgreSQL)
• Containerisation (Docker / Kubernetes)
• Desirable Skills/Experience – GIT (feature branches & pull requests), JIRA and Confluence, Azure Cloud Services (AKS, Application Gateway) and Junit/TestNG Unit Testing.
