Oasis Systems has an exciting opportunity for a Logistics Specialistlocated at Kennedy Space Center in Merritt Island, FL.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS(Education, Certifications, Experience, Skills)

High School diploma or equivalent.

At least one (1) year experience in one or more of the following shipping and receiving, customer support, material planning and control, storeroom operations, or related experience.

Must possess working knowledge of applicable computer operating system(s) and standard computer applications.

Must possess good oral and written communication skills.

Possess a safe driving record.

U.S. Citizenship is required for all applicants

EDUCATION : High School diploma or equivalent. CERTIFICATIONS :

Maintain certifications, licenses, permits, etc., required for performance of assigned tasks, i.e., forklift operator.

EXPERIENCE LEVEL : Experienced (Non-Manager)

RESPONSIBILITIES :

Provide logistical support to Operational Labs including customer interface, work control database entries, material handling and delivery, receiving, ordering parts and materials for refurbishment of equipment, and storeroom maintenance.

Receive equipment and materials from customers, document transfer of custody, inspect and document any damage or other anomalous conditions, review customer work request for accuracy and completeness and address any issues found with customer.

Once verified correct, transfer work request data into laboratory Work Control System (WCS), ensuring all customer requirements are accurately documented.

Maintain status of all work in progress in the WCS.

Relocate incoming equipment and materials to laboratory / shop areas and completed equipment materials back to Logistics area.

Return to customer and document transfer of custody.

Operate vehicle to pick up and deliver received materials, supplies, components, and equipment to various locations at KSC.

Review purchase requests for completeness and accuracy and initiate review / approval workflow in Maximo database. Upon receipt of purchased material, equipment, or service update Maximo to reflect receipt.

Deliver received material or equipment to the requester.

Maintain storeroom by issuing materials on request and ordering replacement materials to reestablish required stock levels.

Ensure all transactions are documented in Maximo database to ensure accuracy of stock levels.

Locate vendors and price and initiate procurement request for parts and materials needed to refurbish equipment and components being serviced by the component cleaning lab.

Maintain certifications, licenses, permits, etc., required for performance of assigned tasks, i.e., forklift operator.

Maintain an orderly and safe working environment. Keep pathways clear of obstructions and trip hazards.

Perform any other related and / or associate duties as required.
