Medical Receptionist
Duties:
– Greet and check-in patients upon arrival
– Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate department or staff member
– Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar
– Verify patient insurance information and collect necessary co-pays or fees
– Maintain patient records and update any changes in personal information
– Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
– Ensure a clean and organized reception area
Qualifications:
– Previous experience working as a medical receptionist or in a similar role is preferred
– Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Proficient in using phone systems and computer software for scheduling appointments and managing patient records
– Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
– Strong attention to detail and accuracy
