Oakland Hebrew Day School is seeking an Associate Head of School for the 2022-2023 school year. The Associate Head oversees general studies and Judaic studies curriculum, instruction and school-wide programming for bridge kindergarten through 8th grade, working closely with the head of school, curriculum coordinators, teacher leaders, faculty and the administrative staff. This is an exciting leadership opportunity for someone with a passion for good pedagogy, dedication to the well-being of young people, and a wise, human-centered approach to leadership.

We are looking for a wise leader with emotional intelligence, thoughtful pedagogy and excellent collaboration skills, who is experienced with successfully supporting teams, implementing initiatives, partnering with parents and working with others towards a shared vision for strong and inspiring education.

OHDS is a Modern Orthodox bridge kindergarten through 8th grade school in the Bay Area with approximately 150 students and room to grow. Our families span the spectrum from observant Modern Orthodox to unaffiliated, and we cherish this beautiful diversity. Our school offers a dual curriculum with half the day engaged in immersive Jewish studies and Hebrew, and half the day committed to strong general studies learning. Our students have access to weekly physical education, art and music instruction. Our teachers and administrative staff are highly professional people of integrity, and our faculty culture includes mutual support, respect and heartfelt care. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $130,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year
