Recruitment Specialist (Working Title)

Reports to: Director of People & OD

Contract Type: Full Time (Hybrid/Remote Working)

Base Salary: £40,000 per annum (+ £3,000 car allowance)

Job Profile

The Recruitment Specialist is responsible for forecasting & managing resource needs of the business and developing long-term recruiting strategies.

You will build trusting relationships with potential hires and ultimately create strong talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs. In addition, you will be responsible for:

• Working closely with the People Team and General Managers to manage employee sourcing, selection, interviewing and onboarding.
• Reviewing staffing needs, and demonstrating best practice recruitment, onboarding support and advice
• Managing the full recruitment lifecycle from sourcing to point of job offer
• Developing and implementing talent acquisition strategies and hiring plans
• Leading on establishing a positive candidate experience and employment branding initiatives

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure sufficient team members are available for daily operations in each of the care homes
• Ensure that quality and sufficient resourcing leads are generated for the business
• Ensuring that time to hire KPI data is
• Generating innovative recruitment practices to reduce TTH and convert leads to hires quickly
• Lead headhunting campaigns for senior or hard to fill roles
• Review recruitment software and suggest the best option for company needs · Advise hiring manages on best practice interview and selection techniques
• Lead volume recruitment campaigns for new homes to ensure they are resourced sufficiently for opening
• Ensure processes are in place to keep pipeline candidates engaged ·
• Conduct job interviews to ensure candidates skills and qualification match the job requirements
• Identify and select suitable job advertising options ensuring you can evidence ROI
• Oversee and manage the recruitment budget spend and ensure this is within limits
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation, implementing required changes to keep company recruitment processes compliant
• Build good working relationships with internal stakeholders and external recruitment agencies
• Review, innovate and modernise recruitment processes and campaigns
• Coordinate with Department Heads to forecast future hiring needs
• Prepare update reports for key stakeholders to provide information on KPIs
• Recommend ways to improve our employer branding
• Organise and participate in job fairs and recruitment events
• Manage and oversee the ATS system
• Train and support business administrators in effective and compliant recruitment practices.
• Oversee compliance of new hires and ensure all legislation is met for candidates joining the business

• Participate in training to ensure skills and competencies are maintained at required level

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience

Essential

• Proven work experience as a Recruitment Manager, recruitment Consultant or Recruiting Coordinator
• Hands on experience with Applicant Tracking Systems and HR databases
• Up to date knowledge of recruitment legislation
• Experience with phone and in person interviews, candidate screening and evaluation
• Familiarity with the use of social media and other professional networks for recruiting
• A demonstrable understanding of innovative recruitment methods and techniques

Desirable

• Degree and/or Recruitment specific qualification
• Member CertRP and/or REC/APSco
• Willingness to understand the duties and competencies of different roles
• Working knowledge of job evaluation processes or systems
• A demonstrated ability to manage and mentor others
