Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a FGP Data Analyst.

In this role, the successful candidate the FGP Data Analyst will provide data management, reporting, and analytical support to the NYU Langone Health Faculty Group Practice (FGP) to assist in achieving the organizations financial and operational goals. As part of the fast-paced FGP Analytics Team, the Data Analyst will identify, query, and analyze data from a variety of sources to help measure FGP performance, identify opportunities, and provide actionable insights to help drive FGP business decisions. The Data Analyst will work under the guidance of the Senior Analysts to help translate data into dynamic Tableau dashboards that will both provide compelling analysis of operational issues and provide self-service platforms to end-users. The position will act as a liaison to the IT Data Warehouse team to assist in building and managing the FGPs internal data infrastructure and reporting systems.

To be effective the Data Analyst will have both a technical and analytical mindset to successfully collaborate with diverse teams and functional areas including IT Data Warehouse and Reporting, Business Intelligence, EPIC EMR, corporate departments, and practice operational teams.

The position will primarily focus on operational and financial projects for Patient Access and Revenue Cycle activity, and will assist with other FGP projects as needed. The Data Analyst will work under the guidance of experienced Senior Data Analysts and will be expected to quickly learn and build her/his data and analytical skillset.

Job Responsibilities:

• With regard to Data Management & Business Intelligence, the analyst will prepare and analyze operational and revenue cycle reports to summarize FGP performance; Pull data and reports from multiple sources; evaluate data and reports to identify opportunities for FGP revenue and operational enhancement; assist in building new models and metrics; identify trends and develop work plans with management to address potential operations issues.
• Act as analyst for data management of the Vizient project; upload and validate regular data submissions and assist in analyzing reports from Vizient to improve practice operations and patient access.
• Work with appropriate NYU Langone Health and IT divisions, including but not limited to EPIC and EPIC add-on systems; ensure reports and dashboards are updated, disseminated and operate properly and correctly; assist in the creation of additional reporting and dashboard systems (such as Tableau) as determined and needed by management.
• With regard to Data Management & Business Intelligence, the analyst will act as a liaison between FGP and IT Reporting and Dashboard Teams; Assist in troubleshooting of reports, databases and dashboards; ensure data are accurate and appropriate; assist IT Reporting Team to maintain and enhance the data warehouse including researching and adding new fields and universes to support FGP needs.
• Collaborate with various teams including Practice Operations, Credentialing and Managed Care to identify issues and trends related to operational opportunities. Act as primary analyst for data management of the Vizient project; upload and validate regular data submissions and assist in analyzing reports from Vizient to improve practice operations and patient access.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Bachelors degree, preferably in computer science, mathematics or business related major or the equivalent combination of experience and education. Proficiency in common software systems. Knowledge of Tableau a plus. Proficiency and comfort with databases and manipulation of large data sets. Proficiency working directly with digital analytic tools like adobe analytics or google analytics. Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Strong interest in healthcare business.
