Nyobolt Hiring for Test Engineer at Bedford, MA Full Time
Full Job Description
Nyobolt is looking for an experienced Test Engineer to help with our battery cell evaluations at our Bedford, MA R&D facility. In this new role you will establish, standardize, and document operational procedures for testing and ing. We are looking for you to identify bottlenecks within the testing lab and find efficient low-cost solutions.
Other responsibilities include:
- Writing and proof-checking specialized test procedures for battery test equipment
- Troubleshoot and schedule repair and maintenance of battery test equipment
- Helping develop methodology and lab equipment configuration for abuse and regulatory testing of cells
- Working with R&D and engineering teams to design and develop specialized fixtures and equipment for in-situ testing
Qualifications:
- BS, BSE in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering with demonstrable commercial/industrial battery R&D/testing experience
- Knowledge of database structures
- Experience with trouble-shooting test equipment – battery cyclers and environmental chambers, etc.
- Mechanical design and general hardware fabrication experience
- Experience configuring and automating equipment for data acquisition
- Experience in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), CAD, and programming language (VBA, Python, etc.)
- Knowledge of lithium ion cell chemistry and electrochemical cell characterization and familiarity with Maccor/Neware or other equivalent testing systems a plus
