Nyobolt Hiring for Applications Engineer – Electronics (FT) at Bedford, MA Full Time

Full Job Description

Are you an Electronics Engineer who enjoys working with customers? We have a key new role in our Bedford, MA office to support the delivery of high-performance battery packs, chargers and test systems for internal and customer-driven development programs in the USA.
Ideally, you will have hands-on electrical and electronic product development experience including exposure to battery management systems and battery charger design. You will work closely with our UK applications engineering team to build prototype battery packs, commission chargers and test systems and provide technical support to customers in the USA.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build and validate prototype battery packs
  • Commission battery charging and test systems in Bedford, MA
  • Interface with our UK team and occasionally travel
  • Provide necessary technical support to customers based in the USA
  • Setup and manage application engineering lab in Bedford, MA
  • Write, compile and complete verification and test plans/ s to documentation standards
  • Identify and interact with internal and external suppliers for the component supply and assembly needs

Qualifications:
  • Minimum BS in Electrical Engineering or related discipline with at least 5 years of market experience in designing and maintaining complex electronics systems.
  • Technical capacity in terms of designing battery packs, BMS and mechanical components.
  • Strong understanding of industry standards and certification
  • Ability to program in LabVIEW
  • Familiarity with embedded systems programming
  • Good understanding of at least one high-level programming language i.e. C#, Python, LabVIEW, MATLAB
  • Experience with National Instruments (NI) data acquisition products.
  • Experience with CAN and/or Bluetooth
