NYCM Insurance Hiring for Recruiter Job at Edmeston, NY Full Time

The Recruiter is responsible for an in-house, full life-cycle recruitment process. This individual will be responsible for assisting divisions with finding talent to carry out the corporate mission, culture and CORE values of NYCM Insurance by using creative sourcing methods. They should be familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within the recruiting field and should have a basic understanding of the company’s employment practices, procedures and organizational structure. The Recruiter will be responsible for researching, developing and implementing effective recruitment strategies to attract a pool of qualified and capable talent for the organization.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Partner with Hiring Managers to determine staffing needs
• Set salaries for the annual new hire budget including carry-over positions, growth positions and strategic positions
• Process job requisitions
• Develop advertising programs to ensure high visibility with potential candidates
• Screen resumes, schedule interviews, attend and conduct interviews (by phone or in person)
• Counsel candidates and hiring managers on the interviewing and hiring process
• Administer and review background checks
• Make recommendations for hire (or not hire)’
• Research, identify and make salary offers for both exempt and non-exempt positions
• Collect and analyze data to maintain current understanding of fair and competitive market salaries, candidate availability, and demand for candidates in a field
• Conduct orientation of new employees
• Develop and maintain relationships with local colleges and high schools to identify and attract quality candidates
• Schedule and attend job/career fairs to generate qualified applicants
• Continually work to build and maintain relationships with hiring managers through monthly check-in meetings
• Maintain recruitment metrics and conduct a weekly report for NYCM Officers
• Coordinate job shadowing and internship opportunities for students
• Conduct surveys to abstract recruitment feedback from hiring managers and new hires on recruiting and onboarding processes

Requirements:

• Associates degree
• Two years recruiting or equivalent experience

Salary Range: $42,118 – $75,811
